Art Creations Africa feels it must keep abreast of how the stone sculpture of Zimbabwe is perceived and positioned in both the international art arena and what is happening in African art today. Art Creations Africa sees the sculpture as upholding its tradition yet conceding in an interesting and innovative way to new developments in sculpture, internationally, in Africa and in Zimbabwe. This monthly Newsletter in the Essay Section will reflect these considerations in some depth, and provide examples by way of sculptor´s work. Art Creations Africa also feel it is essential to comment in this Newsletter upon interesting initiatives and developments which take a stand for the stone sculpture and the sculptors in a post modern world, and art world. The Newsletter is thus a means for those within the international stone sculpture community ´to keep in touch with each other, and appreciate each others´ work and commitment.
