Malawi

The Republic of Malawi (formerly known Nyasaland), a democratic densely populated country located in southeastern Africa. It has Zambia, Tanzania and Mozambique surrounding neighbours. The origin of the name Malawi remains unclear; it is held to be either derived form the language of southern tribes, or the ´´glitter of the sun rising across the lake´´ (as seen in its flag).

Zambia

A landlocked republic bordering Zimbabwe on its northern border. Was originally known as Northern Rhodesia and was famous for its copper output. Population 11 500 00, Size 740 724 sq kms, Capital Lusaka. Zambia received its independence from Great Britain on October 24, 1964. Kenneth Kaunda was the first president and was deposed on October 21, 1991.

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe, officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, and formerly known as Republic of Rhodesia, is a landlocked country in the southern part of the continent of Africa, between the Zambezi and Limpopo rivers. It borders South Africa to the south, Botswana to the southwest, Zambia to the northwest, and Mozambique to the east. The name Zimbabwe derives from ´´dzimba dzemabwe´´ meaning ´´houses of stone´´ in the Shona language.
