Shandukai Gundiro
Shandukai Gundiro, born on 18 January 1968.
After his secondary education, he started sculpturing in 1988 as a student of Tapfuma Gutsa.
´´Tapfuma strongly inspired me. In my free time, I would work on my own sculpture. One thing my teacher taught me is to do my own thing and not to be a copycat´´.
From 1994 to 1997 he worked alongside the famous Dominic Benhura.
He is married and his ambition is to become one of Zimbabwe´s finest third generation sculptors.
His work has been exhibited at various galleries, such as Chapungu Sculpture Park and National Gallery.
