Kutambura Chigwambe
Kutambura Chigwambe was born on the 18 August 1969 in Murewa (Mashonaland East Province). He is the last born in a family of six, three boys and three girls.
He completed his primary education at Nyagande and his secondary at Chikuhwa High School both in Murewa. He is a full time sculptor and started in 1990 at Mudhindo area in Guruve under the guidance of Luke and Francis Mugavazi. Katambura is one of the founders of Gavazi Sculpture Community in Mv.
His work includes fish, human figures, birds and animals. He participated in a group of local exhibitions including the Mobile Zimbabwe Heritage since 1991, and received a highly acclaimed certificate for the First Mobil Zimbabwe Heritage Biennale 1998.
Katambura is married with one child and his spouse is also a sculptor.
