Elvis Mamvurha
Elvis Mamvurha, born on the 3rd March 1976 in the Hwedza district of Zimbabwe. His father, Albert Mamvurha, helped channel his artistic talent which began to emerge, the influence of his rural environment and close family relationships are revealed in the abstract forms he sculpts, closely entwined in protective embrace.
Elvis believes that his work is reference to the close - knit family unit in Shona society.
