Davidson Chakawa
Davidson Chakawa, born in Zimbabwe in 1950.
He started sculpting in 1984 at the Tengenenge Sculpture Community, encouraged by Tom Blomfield. He exhibited at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe from 1986-1991. Davidson has also participated in-group exhibitions in Holland, Germany, USA, UK and France.
He favours working in black Serpentine and much of his subject matter is associated with the animal kingdom.
