Bunaya Kambeu Chikwanda
Bunaya Kambeu Chikwanda, born in 1946 in Malawi. He came to Zimbabwe in 1963 to find a job. He was a general
worker on several farms. Then he went to Tengenenge in 1979, to work as a
labourer on the Tengenenge farm.
He is married with two children. Square, his son is 21 and is a successful sculptor. His daughter is 19 - Mariatu, sculpts sometimes.
He lives in the compound of Tengenenge farm where he works. He makes his sculptures in his free time when the job is done.
He started sculpting in 1982, the basic form for his sculptures are legs, his own idea to be different from the others. He started sculpting to earn some extra money, and enjoys it so much now, he wants strongly to become a full time sculptor.
