Conducto Kagote
Conducto Kagote born in 1957, and started sculpting in 1987. He was influenced by the work of Henry Munyaradzi.
Conducto´s favourite stone is black serpentine and his sculpture displays a vivid imagination as having well as a keen sense of humour. Much of his subject matter deals with aspects of the galaxy in relationship to human experience.
Conducto has a very individual style and his sculptures are always detailed and definite in their form. He explores to a large extent sculpting in 360 degree so that a sculpture does not only have one side.
He has exhibited from 1987 to 1992 at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe as well as in Holland, Germany and Australia. Two of his pieces are part of the permanent collection at the Africa Museum Holland.
