Alice Musara

Alice Musara, born in 1953, started sculpting in 1988 at the Tengenenge Sculpture community.

Alice is one of the few woman sculptors in Zimbabwe to have made a name for her and over the years her work has become popular. Alice´s work possesses a simple yet effective quality and clearly depicts human emotion.

Bernard Matemera influenced Alice to a large extent. Her work borders the realistic and semi abstract. She has exhibited at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe as well as in group exhibitions overseas such as Holland, Germany, Australia, Italy, Finland and Sweden.
