Agripa Ndongwe Agripa Ndongwe was born in 1953. He is the first child in a family of two boys and four girls. At primary school he enjoyed art very much. He did a lot of works during these years in crayon, watercolour painting and clay, making animals and human sculptures. However, a lack of school fees hindered him from furthering his education. A number of his primary school works were in fact awarded prizes and this gave him encouragement to try his hand at stone carvings.
He thus taught himself to sculpt in stone and has persevered. He mainly specialises in carving abstracts. Agripa is now married to Caroline and has four children. His wife assists him by heating and polishing his sculpture. He is however teaching Caroline to carve in stone. Agripa finds sculpting in stone a great challenge and thoroughly enjoys his chosen profession. Artist's Sculpture (Click to view):
